He’s not even a dead man walking anymore - he’s political roadkill, writes the GB News regular

Keir Starmer’s delusion is now bordering on the psychotic. Thanks to his catastrophic leadership, the Labour Party has just been catapulted into political oblivion.

Yet the man who took it there still doesn’t get what he’s done. Starmer still doesn’t understand that on an historic day last week, an entire nation rose to its feet and shouted a collective “Get Out” An entire nation didn’t just make its voice heard – it let out a visceral scream declaring that it wanted him gone.

We all heard it. Yet the man it was intended for didn’t. Because just hours after the worst-ever local election results and clinging to power by his fingernails, our PM decided the solution to Labour’s problems was to bring back two ancient relics of the Blair Era. First, Harriet Harman is an advisor to women and girls.

Trouble is, she can’t actually define what one is except to say that she thinks the definition of women and girls includes men and boys.

And Gordon Brown as Special Reviewer on Global Finance. Seriously??? The man who sold all Britain’s gold is going to be advising Rachel from Accounts. It’ll be like the blind leading the blind.

Then on Monday, he makes a speech – a reset he called it – and again he droned on about how his father was a toolmaker( No, his Father owned the toolmaking company).

Even after those election results, he ludicrously told us that Labour is the party of optimism and a party that’s going to seek closer ties with Europe. He also said he’s going to reverse Brexit, something which most voters don’t want and which Starmer he promised he wouldn’t do.

He says we need to be strong on defence when he and his party have starved the military of cash to the point it’s no longer capable of protecting Britain:

“People need hope,” he droned.

And this is where his lunacy lies. Doesn’t he get that millions have just deserted him and his party precisely because they are totally devoid of hope? Worse than that, they’re despairing.

“I’m not sure working people believe we care,” said Starmer.

Yep, and they have good reason to think that, thanks to the huge numbers of jobs that have been lost since Labour came to power and by the number of small businesses, restaurants and pubs that have gone to the wall because of this government’s crippling taxes.

Starmer and Reeves were told it was going to happen if they imposed those taxes, but they did it anyway.

If anything proves Starmer has to be dragged out of Number – screaming if necessary - then it’s that insane “reset” speech which shows he has learned absolutely nothing from last week’s catastrophic results.

He was still just spewing out words written for him by someone else that meant absolutely nothing. He still has no plans, no policies, nothing that’s going to make Britain remotely better.

I had four workmen in my house today, and the question they were all asking was: “Why didn’t he listen to us, to what we wanted?"

And that’s the 64,000-dollar question, isn’t it – why did Starmer and his dope cohorts pursue policies that didn’t just hurt the electorate but destroyed our economy?

Why have they done nothing about immigration, the one issue voters are united upon? Why didn’t they do anything about the bloated benefits bill?

Why have they allowed a situation where it now pays more to be on benefits than it does to work? Why have they allowed the Islamification of this country, giving preference to one religion above all others?

Why didn’t they stamp out the anti-semitism on our streets (and inside their own party) before it raged out of control?

Why does Starmer refuse to sack people who are useless at their jobs, and why did he even think about appointing Mandelson to a position he should never have been let anywhere near?

The whys are endless. But it’s now clear Keir Starmer is not fit to lead this country, and he’s the only one who can’t see it.

He inherited one of the fastest-growing economies in the G7, and together with Reeves and the rest of his no-mark cabinet, they have reduced this country to rubble.

And let’s not kid ourselves that if Starmer goes, Labour will miraculously recover. It won’t because what’s coming is going to be way worse than him.

Rayner is even farther to the left, and she will allow the unions to dictate the political agenda. Burnham was twice rejected for the leadership, mainly because he’s as much of a dud as Starmer is. And Miliband is a deranged zealot.

Some are calling Starmer’s speech today his last throw of the dice. I’m calling it the end of the road for a man so delusional, so blind, he refuses to see what he’s done and take responsibility for it.

He was never fit to run a country. He is and always has been a boring manager, not a leader. He’s neither brave nor inspired, and he has no beliefs, and no polices.

But his worst crime is that he has no idea how the people of this country think or feel. He hasn’t a clue what makes them tick.

Starmer’s had so many chances to redeem himself, but he’s blown them all spectacularly. Because he literally doesn’t know what to do. And all the people who used to tell him what to do – he’s sacked.

Two years ago, he had huge swathes of the country eating out of his hand. Today, not only have they deserted him - they also detest him.

But it's even worse than that. Because those elections last Thursday weren’t just the rejection of Starmer, they were the rejection of an entire political class which for two years has tried to force its detestable values onto decent people, and those that rejected them were smeared as racists, transphobes or far-right.

Starmer’s only talent has been spaffing a nation’s support up the wall - support that neither he nor his vile party will ever get back.

No one was interested in his “reset” on Monday. He’s not even a dead man walking anymore - he’s just political roadkill that people wanted swept away and binned.

Ditto the whole Labour Party. It can scrap over who’s going to be leader, but it doesn’t actually matter – because it’s dead!!!!
