You see no matter how you look at it, Donald Trump responded to a call for help from the Iranian people from a murderous theocratic regime that openly executed around 40,000 on its streets.

And those figures come from the IRGC a proscribed terrorist group, although not proscribed in the UK. Go figure.

Trump told the people of Iran that help is on its way. Now you could argue he had other motives, but he sent help.

And what have the rest of Nato done in response? They have obfuscated and frankly tried to get out of any involvement even though they are involved in any case.

So the choice is this, do you get behind a murderous regime that has executed its own people in cold blood, that has chanted death to the west for decades, a regime that wants Israel wiped off the face of the earth and has worked via proxies like Hezbollah the Houthis in an attempt to achieve this.

And as we speak are enriching Uranium to create nuclear weapons, having sent a ballistic missile some 2400km to the Chagos, proving they can reach the UK.

Or do you stand firm with the US President whose mission was to protect the Iranian people even though this was a very difficult mission and missions like this have not always gone well, although you could argue that when it does go well, we never discuss it?

Yes, I get it, it’s easier to stand by and slate Donald Trump from the sidelines while watching a murderous, terrorist regime execute its own people and pretend that you understand when frankly you don’t.

Our politicians have failed rule number one, to protect their own people. God help us if Iran decide to turn its weapons on the UK, because without the US, Nato is a paper tiger.
