Jacques and Jessica Moretti are appearing at a hearing in Sion

Furious parents of victims of a fire in a Swiss Ski resort that killed 41 people confronted the bar's owners as they arrived at an inquest into the blaze.

Owners of Le Constellation in Crans-Montana Jacques and Jessica Moretti arrived at the prosecutor's office in Sion for their fourth day of questioning.

However, upon arriving at the building several relatives stormed towards the pair, who were flanked by just a police officer and their lawyer.

The mother of teenage victim Trystan Pidoux, Vinciane Stucky, who was also present this morning, told local media: "We will neither forgive nor forget."

One eyewitness told local media: "It was a real mob. The Morettis...had hardly any protection when the relatives' anger erupted.

"Everyone rushed at the innkeepers, who were pushed against the building's wall and couldn't get away."

One sobbing parent was heard yelling at the owners: "You killed my son, you killed 40 people, you will pay for this."

Ms Moretti, 40, appeared visibly upset as she walked through the crowd. The brother of one of the victims allegedly attempted to kick her after repeatedly asking her to look him in the eye.

Christian Podoux, Trystan's father, said: "I want Jessica Moretti to know how hard she has hit fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters.

"She distanced herself, left the Constellation. Others, the young people, helped so much, and she just left. That's not right."

Trystan's brother Tobyas added: "What happened isn't normal. We want justice. Moretti is undoubtedly guilty, as are the municipality of Crans-Montana and the canton of Valais."

The French couple have firmly blamed their young staff for causing the inferno and blocking an escape exit, with leaked interview records pointing to them saying: "It's not us, it's the others."

The fire, set off by sparklers carried by a bar worker sitting on the shoulders of a colleague, spread within seconds.

Some of the victims were found collapsed next to a locked rear exit, according to police transcripts.

Others were piled together near the main exit, which became a fatal chokepoint, while others died in the basement before they could flee, according to the transcripts and photographs from the case files.

According to local police, four people are under investigation.

Leila Micheloud, the mother of two daughters injured in the fire, attended Wednesday's hearing.

She said: "It's a path to healing. We're waiting for answers, the truth, for them to tell the truth; we're not asking for anything more. We're in a battle. I have to be here.

"When you have two of your children who almost died, you're not afraid of anything,"
