A British tourist is fighting for his life after being stabbed multiple times at a beach bar on the Thai island of Phuket.
The 34-year-old holidaymaker is believed to have been attacked by another tourist in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
At around 12.20am, the Briton was seen staggering outside the building, bleeding heavily, before collapsing in front of a nearby restaurant.
Emergency services rushed to Maya Beach, where they found the 34-year-old barely responsive.

He was rushed to Phuket's Thalang Hospital, where he remains under treatment.
According to local media reports, the knifeman fled the scene and has not yet been tracked down.
Authorities confirmed the Briton was still in hospital and too unwell to speak with police.
Several eyewitnesses have been interviewed, but the only information that has emerged about the attacker is that he was a "large foreign man".

|Volunteer paramedic Than Sirichai said: “At approximately 12:11 am, we received a report that a foreign national had been injured in a stabbing incident, sustaining multiple severe bleeding wounds.
“Upon arrival, we found a British man sitting on the ground.
"He was barely conscious and required constant stimulation to stay awake.
“The injuries included three large lacerations on the left arm, a large wound on the shoulder, and a stab wound on the right side of the back.

“We controlled the bleeding, provided first aid, and took him to Thalang Hospital, where he was given IV fluids to stabilise him.
“He was in considerable pain and kept moaning intermittently.
“He smelled of alcohol but was coherent and did not act aggressively.
“He was able to provide basic information, including his name and nationality."

The paramedic added that the Briton had been seen with a man who appeared to be Russian, aged between 40 to 50 years old.

He said: “The case is currently under investigation, and we are reviewing CCTV footage.
“We are waiting to interview the British man to obtain more details.”
