The development coincides with renewed US-Iran nuclear talks

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released a video unveiling a new underground military drone bunker, with footage showing a large number of the vehicles in a tunnel.

It makes another step in the country's efforts to project its military capabilities amid tensions with Israel, with the nation shifting towards symmetric warfare and enhanced defence infrastructure.

It comes after Israel issued its strongest threat yet against Iran on Thursday, warning it would do to it what it has done to Hamas in Gaza following an attack on Ben Gurion airport by Iran-backed Houthis.

Yemen’s Houthi militants are part of Iran’s “axis of resistance”, along with Hezbollah and Hamas, against Israel and the US.

Defence Minister Israel Katz said in a statement: “I warn... Iranian leaders who finance, arm and exploit the Houthi terrorist organisation: the proxy system is terminated and the axis of evil has collapsed.

“You are directly responsible. What we have done to Hezbollah in Beirut, to Hamas in Gaza, to (now ousted Syrian president Bashar) al-Assad in Damascus, we will do to you in Tehran too.”

Katz added: “Israel should be able to defend itself... against any threat and against any enemy. This has been the case with several challenges in the past, and it will continue to be the case in future.

“Anyone who attacks us will be severely struck.”

This development coincides with renewed US-Iran nuclear talks, which are set to take place tomorrow in Oman.

Negotiations have been advancing, according to Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

US President Donald Trump, who withdrew Washington from a 2015 deal between Tehran and world powers meant to curb its nuclear activity, has threatened to bomb Iran if no new agreement is reached to resolve the long-standing dispute.

Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, plans to attend the talks abroad, according to a source.

Iran insists it is purely for civilian purposes, while Western countries say Iran's nuclear programme, which Tehran accelerated after the US exited the 2015 accord, is geared toward producing weapons.

Speaking with Iranian state media, Araqchi said: "The negotiations are moving forward, and naturally, the further we go, the more consultations and reviews are needed.

"The delegations require more time to examine the issues that are raised."

He added: "But what is important is that we are on a forward-moving path and gradually entering into the details."
