Despite only unveiling part of his cabinet yesterday, the Prime Minister resigned, having faced mounting pressure following several weeks of intense nationwide protests over proposed public spending cuts.

He said: "If nothing changes, there will be a confidence vote, this [Prime Minister] will fall and there will probably be a dissolution [of parliament]."
