Reports from the event said emergency services had rushed to the scene and that an unusual smell was in the air and was “making some people in our area cough”.
"They evacuated us all. We left all our things inside because there seems to be a fire in a hotel nearby," said Lilli Gruber, a reporter in Davos.
"There are helicopters flying overhead, it's full of firefighters."

The dramatic scenes followed Donald Trump's headline speech, where he addressed his attempts to take control of Greenland.
"I won’t use force, I don’t want to use force...all the US is asking for is a place called Greenland. All we are asking for is to get Greenland, right, title and ownership," Mr Trump told the assembled dignitaries.
His appearance at Davos came amid tense relations with his Nato allies, who had refused to budge on the issue of Greenland.
Mr Trump last week threatened to slap 10 per cent tariffs on imports from the UK, Denmark, Germany, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and Finland after the European nations refused to support his proposed annexation of Greenland.

In return, the European Union has suspended the ratification of the transatlantic trade deal with the US.
Just hours later, Mr Trump confirmed the US will not impose punitive tariffs on European nations on February 1 after sparking fears of a trade war.
"Based upon a very productive meeting that I have had with the Secretary General of Nato, Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region," he wrote on Truth Social.
"This solution, if consummated, will be a great one for the United States of America, and all Nato nations.

"Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the tariffs that were scheduled to go into effect on February 1.
"Additional discussions are being held concerning the Golden Dome as it pertains to Greenland. Further information will be made available as discussions progress."
"Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and various others, as needed, will be responsible for the negotiations — They will report directly to me. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
