A five-year old girl has been taken to hospital after falling "several meters" from a theme park ride in North Wales.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday at 10.20 am, unfolded at the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza festival in North Wales.
An investigation was launched following the incident after the child's "ride on car" detached whilst in operation.
An eyewitness, who requested to remain anonymous, told North Wales Live that the five-year-old girl was "crying and conscious" following the incident.
The full severity of the little girl's injuries remains unclear, and the condition of the youngster is not known.
Both North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service attended the scene.
Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is operated by Llandudno Community Events, a community interest company (CIC).
North Wales Police confirmed the incident occurred on Mostyn Street, shortly after 10.20am on Saturday, May 3.
The fairground rides were set up on Mostyn Street in Llandudno town centre
A spokesman for the force added: "Patrol officers at this weekend’s Extravaganza event in Llandudno attended an incident in which a five-year-old girl sustained injuries whilst riding on a fairground attraction.
"The girl’s family sought medical attention for her at a nearby first aid station, and the ride was shut down for the remainder of the Extravaganza.
"Officers have informed Health and Safety Executive officials, who are now leading the investigation into the circumstances of the incident."
