Detailing the situation on his flight in Florida, Ben told GB News: "We're on the tarmac at Orlando in Florida. I was just heading back to Washington, DC, to rejoin Bev Turner for the Late Show Live a bit later today. We've been stuck for about an hour.
"The captain came on the intercom and said we had come to a ground stop."
Explaining what the ground stop means, Ben explained: "I've just learned this in the last 15 minutes, a ground stop is where air traffic control ordered a plane to not take off.
"Long story short, we've been sat on the tarmac and it turns out there is a bomb threat against a United Airlines flight at Reagan International Airport in DC, where I was heading just now."

Flights have been grounded at Reagan Washington National Airport | REUTERSNoting the impact on scheduled flights both in Washington and Orlando, the GB News anchor revealed: "The plane currently, according to CNN from the last couple of minutes, is sat on the tarmac at Reagan whilst they'll deal with this security threat.
"So as far as we're concerned here, all flights from Orlando, at least to Washington, Reagan, have been grounded."
Fearing that he will miss his Late Show Live broadcast from the GB News studio in Washington, Ben told Martin: "I think we're being kicked off, not sure if the signal is very good, but we're just being kicked off the flight now.
"So Bev Turner may have to go solo tonight on my Late Show Live!"

When asked by Martin if he had any more information on the threat against the Washington plane, Ben said: "The breaking news is there's a serious bomb threat against the United Airlines flight at Washington Reagan International Airport.
"I'm on the tarmac at Orlando, been stuck here for an hour. Hopefully we're getting kicked off soon, but it's a developing story in Washington."
He added: "At the moment, the captain this end has just said there's a ground stop for this flight. The air tracking system and all flights to Reagan have been suspended, so if you look at the flight activity around Washington and Reagan International, there'll be no planes taking off or landing at the moment.
"And that United flight, which is subject to this bomb threat, is sat on the tarmac still until our security services evaluate the situation."
