Democrats have published the material into the notorious sex offender

Leading Democrats have published shocking new photos and videos of Jeffrey Epstein’s private compound, including a dentist chair surrounded by creepy masks.

The House Oversight Committee has received new materials from major financial institutions as part of its investigation into the late convicted sex offender.

Democrats published videos and photos provided to them by the government of the US Virgin Islands, where the notorious sex offender owned his private retreat.

The documents published today are separate from the federal law enforcement records Congress voted to make public last month.

The Justice Department is required to make those materials public later this month, reports Politico.

President Donald Trump signed legislation in November ordering the Justice Department to release documents from its long-running investigation into the paedophile financier.

The files are eagerly sought by both his political opponents and members of his own base who have pressed for greater transparency in the case from the White House.

This material could shed more light on the activities of Epstein, who socialised with President Trump and other notable figures before his 2008 conviction on charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution.

In an open letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, a group of cross-party Representitives wrote they were "particularly focused on understanding the contents of any new evidence, information or procedural hurdles that could interfere with the Department’s ability meet this statutory deadline".

The lawmakers asked for a briefing no later than Friday and urged the Department Of Justice to coordinate with the lawyers for Epstein’s accusers.

Last month, the US Senate has unanimously voted to force the release of the Epstein files.

The vote came just hours after the House of Representatives overwhelmingly backed the bill 427-1.

The lone vote against the resolution in the House was made by Louisiana Republican Clay Higgins.

Mr Higgins objected to the scope of information that could be released.

The Republican claimed releasing the files could reveal and threaten "thousands of innocent people" who may have talked to investigators about allegations against Epstein.

However, the resolution signed by President Trump allows the justice department to withhold any documents related to criminal investigations.

One of the bill's architects, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, said he had worries that the move would lead to some federal files being withheld.

The Kentucky lawmaker told the BBC: "I'm concerned that [Trump is] opening a flurry of investigations, and I believe they may be trying to use those investigations as a predicate for not releasing the files.

"That's my concern."
