Donald Trump made his feelings clear on Nigel Farage being present for his Iowa campaign speech last night.

The GB News presenter is in Iowa ahead of the state caucus, where voters will take the first step in deciding on their presidential nominations.

Trump is vying for the Republican nomination, and took to the stage at an event last night with Farage an interested spectator.

Turning his attention to the former Brexit Party leader, Trump called on Nigel to stand up in order for the crowd to show their appreciation.

“You’ve been right [on Brexit]”, he added. “They [UK] haven’t implemented it too well.

“But you’ve been right. Thank you, Nigel. It’s really an honour to have you here.

“You look great. I love those suits. We [Americans] don’t know how to dress like they [Britons] do.”

The rally took place amid a frosty backdrop, in both a political and weather sense.

Trump remains embroiled in a series of legal battles, with states Maine and Colorado removing him from their Republican primary ballot.

The 77-year-old is challenging the ruling and the case is expected to be decided in the Supreme Court.

Despite the legal struggles Trump faces, he is expected to romp to victory and secure the Republican nomination with polls overwhelmingly in his favour.

Iowa is in the midst of a snowstorm with Nigel Farage suffering a hellish journey to reach the state.

He was left furious at a flight cancellation in Chicago that resulted in him resorting to a five-hour car journey through a blizzard.

Reacting to his flight cancellation, Farage firmly told a nearby rolling camera: “It’s not good. It is not good, and it is not funny.”

They arrived at the state’s capital city, Des Moines, after a five hour journey to find themselves in the stranglehold of a -28C chill.

The traditional Republican state is often the first to carry out the process of selecting its candidates for the US election.
