A 44-year-old man has been arrested in the Putney Pusher case, some nine years after a woman was shoved under a bus by a mystery jogger.
Police first launched an appeal back in 2017 when a man threw a female pedestrian under a London double-decker vehicle on Putney Bridge in London.
The Putney Pusher incident was carried out on May 5 during rush hour at around 7.40am, when a 33-year-old woman was approached by a jogger from the opposite direction.
Despite there being room for the man to dodge the woman, he decided to shove her under a bus going at 12mph.

Thanks to the fast response of driver Oliver Salbris, the woman managed to survive the dramatic incident and only sustained minor injuries while the jogger continued on his journey.
Around 15 minutes later, the man surprisingly returned and passed by his victim while she was receiving assistance on the bridge.
Police later described the criminal as a white man in his early to mid-30s, with short brown hair and a stocky build, wearing dark blue shorts, trainers and a grey T-shirt.
CCTV footage of the horrific incident triggered a manhunt for a suspect following the crime.

"He was taken to police custody, where he remains.

"The arrest relates to an incident on May 5, 2017, where a woman was pushed into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in Putney.
"Inquiries continue."
A year after the incident, the investigation was closed after Scotland Yard said all lines of enquiry had been exhausted. No suspect was charged.
As a result, the case soon became one of the UK's most mind-boggling unsolved cases.
Following the arrest, Fleur Anderson, MP for Putney, said that her constituents will welcome the "significant step forward" in the case and added her thoughts are with the victim.
She said: "This is a significant step forward and one that many people in Putney will welcome after such a long time.
"My thoughts are with the woman involved - I hope this brings her some reassurance.
"I’d like to thank the police for sticking with this case over the years. It’s important now that the investigation is able to proceed properly."
