Vladimir Putin has manufactured the first set of Poseidon nuclear capable super torpedoes.
The torpedos are being prepared for deployment on the Belgorod nuclear submarine and it was previously claimed by Dmitry Kiselyov that they could “plunge Britain into the depths of the sea”.
The Russian state news agency TASS said the main components of Poseidon included a nuclear reactor to give the torpedo its own power source and claimed it had been successfully completed and tested on.
The announcement of its completion comes four years after the Russian president first publicly discussed what he called a “strategic nuclear weapon”.
He said: "They are very low noise, have high maneuverability and are practically indestructible for the enemy. There is no weapon that can counter them in the world today."
Retired general Andrey Gurulev accused the UK of “getting cocky”.
He said: “I said six months ago that it should be demolished from the face of the earth."

The Royal Navy said HMS Portland, a Type 23 frigate, monitored the Russian guided missile frigate Admiral Gorshkov and its accompanying tanker Kama as they sailed in international waters near the UK.
The ship was carrying Putin’s “super weapon” zircon missiles.
The missiles have a 625 miles range and are considered one of the world’s most deadly weapons.
