A pensioner has been charged with terror offences after a pro-Palestine protest "overwhelmed" police.
The 89-year-old woman from Islington was one of 120 pro-Palestine supporters charged in the wake of the protest in support of proscribed terror group Palestine Action, Scotland Yard confirmed.
Nearly 500 Palestine Action supporters were arrested during the event on August 9 and face being jailed for up to six months for their attendance.
A Met Police spokesman confirmed the charges in an official statement: "Following authorisation from the Crown Prosecution Service, they have all been charged via postal requisition with an offence contrary to section 13 of the Terrorism Act, 2000.

"They are due to appear at Westminster magistrates’ court on a series of dates from November 24 to December 9.
"Officers from Counter Terrorism Policing London continue to work through investigations relating to other people who were arrested in similar circumstances in central London during protest events in August, September and October."
According to the Telegraph, thousands of members belonging to the Palestine Action group were planning a coordinated attempt to "overwhelm" police with a flurry of crimes.
Palestine Action has been officially classified as a terrorist organisation since July last year, after some of its members broke into RAF Brize Norton and damaged two military aircraft.

Amid protests against the outlaw, the co-founder of the group, Huda Ammori, has been granted permission to challenge the legislation.
Mr Ammori will appear in court this Tuesday in a bid to see the classification declared unlawful and potentially lifted.
