The 26-year-old was arrested at Frankfurt Airport after arriving from Ethiopia

A Somalian migrant wanted in Britain after allegedly repeatedly raping his 13-year-old stepsister has been arrested after stepping of a plane in Germany.

German authorities have apprehended the 26-year-old man at Frankfurt Airport following his arrival on a flight from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The suspect, a Dutch citizen who was born in Somalia, was detained by federal police immediately after touching down.

British authorities had been seeking the man since December 2023 through an international arrest warrant.

He faces allegations of child sexual abuse committed while he was living in the UK.

Officers from the Federal Police acted swiftly upon identifying the suspect through a search notice as he entered the country.

The accusations against the man are severe, with authorities alleging he sexually assaulted his teenage stepsister on multiple occasions.

German federal police confirmed the nature of the charges in their official statement: "He is accused of having repeatedly raped his 13-year-old stepsister in 2020."

This timeframe reflects the man's legal right to challenge his extradition.

Authorities have noted that such durations are typical in cases involving international arrest warrants and cross-border transfers.

The suspect was taken into custody immediately following his appearance before the Frankfurt judge.

He will remain detained in Germany throughout the extradition proceedings.

British investigators will now await the outcome of the legal process before they can proceed with their case against him.
