A Reform UK candidate has expressed her outrage at two Afghan migrants being held in a "cushy" prison after raping a teenage girl.

Speaking to GB News, Orla Minihane declared she was "utterly disgusted" after learning that the illegal migrants have been jailed at a youth institution which allows inmates to "play Xbox and watch films" from behind bars.

Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal, both 17, were jailed after raping a 15-year-old girl in Leamington. The pair are now being held at the Werrington Young Offender Institution in Staffordshire.

Enraged by the reports, Ms Minihane told GB News: "I have to control my rage because I am so utterly disgusted by what we're seeing. We have to remember that the barrister in this case said that the footage was so appalling that he worried it would cause mass social unrest. That's how appalling it was.

"And yet these two boys, men, have come over illegally, they have raped a child and then they are now rewarded in possibly circumstances of living accommodation that is far better than where they've come from. So there is zero consequence here. They can do what they want."

She added: "There is zero deterrent because frankly, we'll come, we'll rape a child, and then we will put in the life of luxury that we did not have before we got here, all at our expense. They should be absolutely deported back to where they came from. No excuses.

"There is no other reason for them to be here, it is an absolute disgrace that this is happening. These girls lives are ruined, their parents are distraught, they will never be the same again , and these two are laughing in our face."

Stressing that such crimes are becoming a "daily" occurrence, Ms Minihane stated: "We are seeing this every day. Every day. And the perpetrators are the rapists, but the perpetrators are also the Government that is allowing these men in day after day.

"Lives are being ruined. I went to the funeral on Tuesday of a girl that was murdered, and nobody is talking about what is happening. We're talking now about rapes, but there are girls being murdered by these men, and nobody is talking about it. I cannot tell you how enraged I am."

Calling for the two migrants to be deported back to Afghanistan, the Reform candidate told GB News: "We're talking about, 'oh, should they get should they be put in this institution, should they be put there, should they get this?'

"If I had my way, we would have corporal punishment, but that's another story for another day, because that's how disgusting these human beings are. They need to be deported. We are too soft."

Agreeing with Ms Minihane, Conservative Peer Lord Shaun Bailey said: "They need to be treated differently. I know our system is based on a long line of decency, and we are very steeped in human rights.

"But at some point we have to treat people differently in relation to the actions that they have carried out, and I think we are at that point."

He continued: "There's no doubt that these two girls's lives have been ruined, and these two men need to be held responsible for that. But firstly, this is not the fault of staff, the staff are just carrying out their duties that they have to do.

"The other thing to say is their circumstances will change when they go to adult prison. They both look like they'll be there long enough to be have to be transferred to adult prison, but this goes to the wider thing, we now have to really consider what we do with people who commit offences here, because it is beginning to to grate on the public in a way.

"And that's why you start to see people taking action in the street, and you now place innocent people through anger at risk."

Calling on Labour to think "more about deporting people", Lord Bailey stated: "I think politicians and the law are going to have to take that into account. We really need to do a little bit more about deporting people and the amount of asylum cases we grant.

"I've always said it, we seem to be acting as if people are not gaming the system. The system is being gamed regularly and often, and somebody needs to stand in that gap."

Warning that Britons will be seeing an "influx" of similar cases being made public, Ms Minihane concluded: "What we're going to start seeing is an influx of many, many more of these.

"And I think we are going to get to a point where we are going to be absolutely, as a nation, completely shocked to our core about how bad this problem is. And it is absolutely out of control, but we're not stopping them coming in, they're still coming."
