An asylum seeker who dodged jail three times after a series of violent attacks has finally been locked up after brandishing a knife outside a migrant hotel.
Shafi Abdi Momad, 30, had previously attacked a shop worker, spat at a police officer and disregarded court orders, but got away with little punishment.
But it was the Somalian's latest violent outburst that saw him finally behind bars, after a disturbing altercation with a police officer.
Police were called to the Roundhouse migrant hotel in Bournemouth in the early hours of December 7 after reports of a disturbance.

The Roundhouse is one of three hotels just minutes away from one of Britain's most popular beaches that are being used to house asylum seekers.
The hotel has had its fair share of controversy. In October, two asylum seekers who chased hotel workers with knives in a dispute over food were jailed.
On the night, Momad, who arrived on UK shores in 2020, pulled an 8cm knife from his pocket and told a police officer: "I carry my knife. When I kill someone here, you come for me."
He fled the scene, though police found his blade buried under leaves nearby and he was detained shortly after.

The Roundhouse hotel was at the centre of anti-migrant hotel protests this summer and has seen its fair share of controversy
| GETTYMomad admitted possession of a bladed article in a public place and was jailed for five-and-a-half months.
It was the fourth time he had appeared before magistrates' in just nine months.
That is not the first drunk and violent outburst from the migrant, either.
In March, Momad appeared in court after attacking an Indian shop worker while drunk, racially abusing the man and trying to take the till when he was refused alcohol. He then punched him in the face.
Rather than a custodial sentence, Momad walked free and was told to complete 100 hours' unpaid work and fined just £25.

| GOOGLEBut Momad stood before magistrates just three months later after failing to comply with that order.
The original order was revoked, and Momad was sentenced to six weeks in prison - suspended for 12 months.
Then, in September, after consuming half a bottle of vodka along with some beers, which left him in a "very angry" state, magistrates were told how Momad launched a "volley of spit" at a police officer.
Nicola Reece, prosecuting, said: "PC Browning was on duty on the night in question when he became aware of a disturbance at the Roundhouse hotel in Bournemouth.
"Other police units had arrived shortly after initial reports and they asked further units to hurry up and assist with restraining the male in the hotel.
"When the officer approached and took hold of the defendant he made a visible effort to spit at him, which landed on his hand."
The Somalian pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency officer, but got off with a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay just £50 compensation.
The migrant's luck has finally run its course, with his suspended sentence from June now coming into play as a result of his conviction for possessing a knife in public.
