EXCLUSIVE: Commander Dominic Murphy issued a direct warning to Khalife telling him to turn himself in.

Met Police have told GB News the exact steps they will take to apprehend Daniel Khalife after he escaped from prison earlier this week.

Khalife escaped from Wandsworth Prison on Wednesday morning leading to a major police operation to capture him.

According to the Met, Khalife was sighted shortly after his escape walking away from a food van and walking towards Wandsworth town centre.

Authorities have issued a £20,000 reward for anyone who provides information which leads to Khalife’s direct arrest.

Speaking to GB News, Commander Dominic Murphy, leader of the Met Police’s Counter Terrorism Command who are leading the re-capture operation outlined the next steps the force will take.

“We will of course be focusing on multiple reports from the public,” Commander Murphy said.

“I'm pleased to say we've had over 100 reports from the public as a result of the appeal and we continue to work on and respond to all of those calls as they come to us.

“That is taking us to different parts of the UK but of course we will follow all of those leads until we find Daniel Khalife.”

Khalife was declared missing on the morning of 6 September and the police were notified within 30 minutes.

Officers were able to discover which van he had used to escape and were able to stop and search the vehicle but found only straps on the underside of the van.

Khalife is understood to have disguised himself in a chef’s uniform prior to his escape.

The Met previously released a picture of dark-haired Khalife, describing him as slim build and around 6ft 2in tall.

“My message to Daniel is to give himself up,” Commander Murphy said.

“We will be closing in on you. The public are motivated and trying to find you.

“We've had excellent support from the media. It's only a matter of time before we find you.

“I would appeal to you to call us and we will come and get you or go into your nearest police station and we will detain you.”
