Duncan Larcombe says this could be "the start of a new beginning" for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in “last chance saloon” with the Royal Family and will be “cut off” if they leak any information from the Platinum Jubilee, a royal author has said.

Meghan and Harry, accompanied by their children Archie and Lilibet, flew to the UK from the US earlier this month to celebrate the Queen's 70-years reign.

The pair kept a low profile during the Jubilee, but did attend Trooping the Colour and the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Both Meghan and Harry were met with boos on arrival at St Paul’s, as royal supporters stood outside to catch a glimpse of the attendees.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are currently filming an “At Home with the Sussexes” docuseries for Netflix, were reportedly told not to film during the Jubilee weekend.

And Duncan Larcombe believes the trust test for the pair “begins now”, with their Royal Family future dependant "on their behaviour moving forwards".

Mr Larcombe told Closer: "They have come to the UK and to the Jubilee and really cemented themselves as royals again, which is great for their brand and something that Spotify, Netflix and Penguin will be eating up.

"Clearly an olive branch has been extended by the Royal Family here.

"But Harry and Meghan would ruin that if any private information about this weekend was spoken about to the press or revealed in a book.

"It’s last-chance saloon for them now."

He continued: "If anything from the weekend leaked, I imagine they will be totally cut off and that’ll be it."

The author said that although they are currently walking on “dangerous ground”, they could prove “that they can be trusted”.

He added: "It could be a huge step in the right direction and the start of a new beginning."
