Speaking exclusively to GB News, Labour's Barry Sheerman MP was quizzed over whether he is aware of the broadcaster, only to suggest the question was "convoluted"

A Labour MP has stated that he has "no idea" who Lorraine Kelly is, following Boris Johnson's similar admission.

Speaking exclusively to GB News, Labour's Barry Sheerman MP was quizzed over whether he is aware of the broadcaster, only to suggest the question was "convoluted".

Mr Sheerman admitted that he is not tech savvy during the discussion with Gloria De Piero on The Briefing.

He told the GB News presenter: "I'm usually kept online with this because I've got three daughters, a son and twelve grandchildren.

"I was stunned the other day when I found out something I said to the Chancellor recently has been viewed three million times on something called TikTok.

"So don't ask me these convoluted questions about someone I'm not quite sure about."

The MP was asked the question in the wake of Boris Johnson's admission that he is not aware who Lorraine Kelly is.

The Prime Minister asked about the broadcaster as an interview with Susanna Reid drew to a close.

Ms Reid referenced ITV’s Lorraine, which airs after Good Morning Britain, to which Mr Johnson asked: “Who’s Lorraine?”

“Who’s Lorraine? Lorraine is a legend!” Ms Reid fired back.

Mr Johnson has also been spotted on the campaign trail as he gears up for the UK local elections on Thursday.

The Prime Minister has faced criticism after mixing Tyneside for Teesside during a trip to Whitley Bay.

The PM, pictured with an ice cream, tweeted: "Fantastic day to be out campaigning in Teesside, where we’re delivering a massive programme of investment as part of our plan to level up the whole of the UK."

But it was later pointed out that Mr Johnson was, in fact, in Tyneside.

Mr Johnson has since deleted the tweet and replaced it, simply stating: "It was a fantastic day to be out campaigning in the North East".
