The pair warred about shocking new claims that diversity and inclusion “experts” can having their visa application to Britain fast-tracked as they are deemed “skilled workers”.

“You do know the job title you talk about is a specific job code, it’s human resource managers and directors. Do you know what the minimum salary requirement is for that role to get a visa? It’s already £50,000. The idea these are low-skilled, low-paid people coming in…”
“You’re missing the point”, Armstrong interjected, only for Portes to insist that he can finish his point before adding, “you’re talking complete nonsense”.

“Can you name me one job an inclusion manager has that means we have to import them into this country”, he said.
Portes then quipped about GB News hires, saying whoever is responsible for them “aren’t entirely qualified to do journalism and reporting, like you”.
“I think you’re just being nasty and rude”, Armstrong hit back. He then repeated his initial question.
Portes said he already had answered the question before Armstrong closed off the interview saying “we’re not getting anywhere”, bringing the fireworks to a close.

The economics expert had been brought on to discuss the visas that could see bloggers and DJs fast-tracked to Britain.
Labour is seeking to crack down on work visas in a bid to tackle soaring net migration figures.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has set out her aims to ensure that the immigration system was “linked to skills and training”.
Lee Anderson, Reform MP, told The Telegraph: “Standards for work-related immigration in this country have never been lower, and the countless promises to fix the system continue to be broken.
"Our soft-touch immigration policies have allowed widespread exploitation of the system – one that benefits everyone except hard-working Britons, costs taxpayers billions, and exacerbates the housing crisis and strain on public services."
Specific “skilled” jobs will be removed from the eligibility list due to changes set to take effect from July 22.
