The prize could see a lucky winner instantly double the net worth of tennis champion Andy Murray

A "Friday the 13th" EuroMillions draw could see the largest lottery prize ever awarded in the UK.

If claimed by a single ticket holder, one lucky Briton could be in line for a record £208million jackpot.

The prize would exceed the previous UK record of £195million, won by an anonymous player in July 2022.

The special draw will also create 13 guaranteed millionaires among UK players through the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker, each of whom will receive £1 million prizes.

A winner would instantly become wealthier than some of Britain's most successful celebrities. The jackpot would place them ahead of singer Adele's estimated £175million fortune and boxer Anthony Joshua's £195million wealth.

The prize would also double the net worth of tennis champion Sir Andy Murray, valued at £100million, and significantly exceed England football captain Harry Kane's £75million fortune.

The nine-figure sum would also see a lucky winner suddenly have their fill of penthouse properties and luxury cars.

With millions to spare, tonight's potential champion would be able to buy out property tycoon Nick Candy's Hyde Park home, marketed at £175million, or 10 Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptails at £20million each.

It would even cover the estimated £208million cost of the ongoing Covid inquiry.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, said: "Friday the 13th might have spooky connotations, but for some lucky players, it could be the day their lives change forever.

"With 13 guaranteed new millionaires, and potentially the nation's biggest ever National Lottery winner, it's the perfect time to defy superstition and take a chance.

"The unluckiest day of the year might just become a day you'll never forget."

The draw comes on the only Friday 13th in 2025.

And the EuroMillions jackpot has reached its cap at €250million (£208million), meaning additional funds now boost lower prize tiers rather than increasing the top prize.

Carter explained: "The EuroMillions jackpot is now capped, so any money that would have gone into increasing the jackpot now boosts prizes in the next winning prize tier, meaning that we could see multiple UK players banking huge prizes for matching just the five main numbers and one Lucky Star."

Recent draws have seen exactly this situation play out, with UK players winning £4.53million and over £2million this month for matching five main numbers and one lucky star.

Tuesday's draw created one UK millionaire who matched five main numbers and one lucky star.
