Recent success stories for British players include winners who bagged just short of £200million

A British ticket-holder could become wealthier than Andy Murray and Daniel Radcliffe combined if they win tonight's EuroMillions draw, with the jackpot reaching an unprecedented £208million.

The prize has rolled over from Tuesday's £199m draw, which produced no winners, creating what would be the largest lottery win in UK history.

The amount is nearly as much as the Tennis champion and Harry Potter star's combined net worth, with the pair amounting to £210m.

Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at Allwyn, said: "We are now on the verge of potentially creating the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen making a single UK winner instantly richer than the likes of Adele and Dua Lipa while also landing them at the number one spot on The National Lottery's biggest wins list."

Recent success stories for British players include winners who bagged just short of £200m and currently hold the record.

The current record stands at £195 million, won by an anonymous UK ticket-holder in July 2022.

Prior to that, Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester previously held the record after winning £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket in May 2022.

At the time, Joe worked as a communications sales engineer whilst Jess operated a hairdressing salon with her sister.

Another anonymous British winner claimed £177 million in November 2024, becoming the third biggest National Lottery winner in UK history.

These massive wins have transformed ordinary Britons into multimillionaires overnight, with Friday's potential jackpot set to eclipse all previous records.

Daniel Radcliffe has amassed £100 million from his portrayal of Harry Potter across eight films, recently adding a Tony award for his performance in Merrily We Roll Along.

The 37-year-old Scot secured three grand slam titles, two Olympic gold medals and a Davis Cup during his 21-year career, earning £50 million in prize money.

His social media profile now states: "I played tennis. I now play golf."

The potential winner would also surpass the fortunes of former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua with £195 million and Adele, who possesses an estimated net worth of £170m.
