An EasyJet flight was forced to make an emergency landing while en route to Manchester due to one passenger “requiring urgent medical attention”.
Flight EZY2238, which was travelling from Copenhagen, made an unscheduled landing at Newcastle Airport.
The aircraft departed the Danish capital at approximately 10pm local time on October 27 and had been scheduled to touch down at Manchester Airport at 10.45pm UK time.
Instead, the crew diverted to Newcastle after a passenger developed a condition requiring immediate medical assistance during the journey.

Medical personnel were waiting when the aircraft touched down at Newcastle, where they immediately took charge of the affected passenger.
Following the handover to emergency services, the flight resumed its journey to Manchester.
An easyJet representative addressed the incident, stating: "Flight EZY2238 from Copenhagen to Manchester on 27 October diverted to Newcastle, due to a customer onboard requiring urgent medical attention."
The spokesperson added: "The customer was met by medical services on arrival, and the flight continued to Manchester.

“The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority,” he added,
EasyJet has not disclosed further details about the passenger's condition.
It comes as another flight was forced to make an emergency landing due to a medical emergency earlier this month.
A British Airways flight made an unplanned stop in Romania after it was reported that four people had fallen ill with suspected smoke inhalation.

The flight departed Istanbul and was heading towards London, but was requested to land at Bucharest's Henri Coanda International Airport at 5.50pm.
In a statement shortly after the incident unfolded on October 11, Romania's Health Ministry confirmed the "presence of smoke" on the plane.
“Four people are in poor health, possibly being smoke-intoxicated, and are receiving medical assistance on site,” the ministry added.
British Airways, who said the emergency landing was made "as a precaution due to a suspected technical issue".

The airline added that "no hospitalisations" had taken place and passengers exited the aircraft "normally" after arriving into the Romanian capital.
More recently, a Lufthansa plane was forced to land in the US after a man was accused of stabbing two fellow passengers and slapping another.
Praneeth Kumar Usiripalli, a 28-year-old Indian national, allegedly attacked two teenagers during an outburst on a flight from Chicago to Frankfurt.
Lufthansa Flight 431 was diverted to Boston Logan International Airport following the incident.
The US Attorney's Office has said that Mr Usiripalli faces one count of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm while travelling on a plane in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States, per prosecutors.
