A demonstrator who made a 200-mile journey from Newcastle to Windsor has spoken to GB News about her opposition to President Donald Trump's state visit to Britain.

Louise Brown appeared in costume inspired by the dystopian television series The Handmaid's Tale during protests against the American leader's arrival.

The protester told GB News: "I've come 300 miles from Newcastle because I felt strongly that Trump shouldn't be given a state visit.

"He's a convicted felon. I'm dressed as a character from The Handmaid's Tale to show how much he's eroded women's rights, and I don't want those values coming over here.

"I'm sure all your viewers have wives, sisters, daughters and they wouldn't want their rights eroded either.

"He's also eroding migrant, trans, and gay rights. He shouldn't be given the airtime, and he shouldn't be here.

She added: "Going back to The Handmaid's Tale, he's leading us into Gilead. America is becoming Gilead again where women don't have rights, gays don't have rights, migrants don't have rights.

"And I don't want those values coming over here."

The President's UK visit sparked multiple forms of protest across Windsor.

Thames Valley Police detained four individuals on suspicion of malicious communications after demonstrators projected images of Trump alongside Jeffrey Epstein onto Windsor Castle walls during his arrival.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

A separate incident occurred at a Windsor dinner where two activists from Fossil Free London infiltrated the event.

The pair displayed a banner reading "Oily Money Kills" before security removed them from the venue, though no arrests were made.

President Trump touched down at London Stansted Airport aboard Air Force One on Tuesday, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, marking the beginning of his three-day state visit to Britain.

.The Stop Trump Coalition has organised a march for this afternoon, featuring addresses from newly elected Green Party leader Zack Polanski and former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who faced controversy during his tenure.

Previous protests during President Trump's UK visits have drawn significant crowds to the capital. Organisers of the 2018 demonstrations claimed an attendance of 250,000 people, though these figures remained unverified.

The 2019 state visit saw substantial anti-Trump rallies throughout London. Jeremy Corbyn, who served as Labour leader at the time, delivered speeches at the protests alongside Diane Abbott, then serving as Shadow Home Secretary.
