In August, footage went viral of the moment a cancer survivor told his son he had won the lottery.

The 51-year-old had been raising two teenagers as a single parent while also battling bowel cancer over the past two years.

Mr Harvey originally dismissed an email from the National Lottery urging him to check his account, thinking it was fraudulent.

Upon discovering his win, he shared the news with his children.

Describing how he had "a massive lump in my throat", he said: "I wanted to tell the kids in person."

At the time of winning the lifechanging sum, Mr Harvey and his family lived in a property with too few bedrooms, leaving the father to sleep in the living room..

He revealed he planned to buy a home with his new money so that he could finally have his own bedroom.
