Leon is no longer in administration after shutting 20-plus restaurants over the past year

A popular fast food chain has exited administration proceedings after shutting down 23 restaurants for good.

Health-conscious hospitality brand Leon now operates 43 locations across the UK after the difficult business processs.

The chain exited administration after going into a company voluntary agreement (CVA) towards the end of 2026.

In December 2025, the CVA was confirmed and received overwhelming support from Leon's creditors, as well as HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

As part of the CVA process, Leon promised to look into slashing the number of loss-making restaurants in its porfolio

During the fast food brand's restructuring, Leon's co-founder John Vincent invested £2.5million into the company.

Mr Vincent re-acquired the healthy food restaurant chain back in late 2025.

Thanks to this successful CVA, Leon was able to leave administration with 42 sites and 23 franchises remaining.

Leon has been a staple of UK high streets and fast food hospitality since 2004, but has since closed more than 20 restaurants over the past year.

This business move comes after the company posted significant losses over the 2023, 2024, and 2025 financial years.

In 2023, Leon reported losses of £12.5million, £8.3million in 2024, and nearly £10million based on early figures for 2025.
