Savers are increasingly concerned ISAs will be targeted by Chancellor Rachel Reeves as part of a tax raid in her upcoming Autumn Budget on November 26.
It is understood Treasury officials are considering cutting the tax-free allowance linked to the savings product as the Chancellor looks for ways to generate revenue for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
Reports are circulating the allowance could be slashed from £20,000 to £10,000 in next month's fiscal statement.
