Despite historic gains, Bitcoin has taken a hit amid wider market volatility

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, experienced record liquidations as investors appear to be increasingly anxious over the ongoing trade war between the US and China.

President Donald Trump's confirmation that the White House will slap China with tariffs of up to 100 per cent in response to recent actions from Beijing has seen many crypto investors move their money to stablecoins or safer assets, such gold.


Reporting from Bloomberg esimtates more than $19billionn (£14.2billion) have been wiped out with Bitcoin's value slipping more than 12 per cent in Bitcoin. Have you been impacted?
