PAGB News' Economics and Business Editor Liam Halligan said: "We've had so many emails, tweets and letter from GB News viewers and listeners that they are sick and tired that they can't use cash anymore.
"It costs businesses money to handle cash and if we're losing a lot less cash then that means there's more so-called surveillance capitalism where the banks can follow your patterns of expenditure, internet companies can follow your patterns of expenditure and of course that data can be sold to third party companies who are interested in marketing."
GB News' presenter Patrick Christys said: "Just look at what’s happening to Nigel Farage and a whole host of other anti-establishment figures who are coming out of the woodwork.
"We’ve seen government’s freeze peoples assets if they went against the lockdown nonsense. We’ve seen companies like PayPal do the same.
"How long will it be before people get their assets frozen because they don’t go along with the LGBTQ+ agenda? Or if they say the ‘wrong thing’ about mass immigration?
"We are hurtling towards a Chinese-style social credit system whereby good citizens are allowed to receive money and bad ones have it taken off them. It quite literally buys compliance, it buys silence, it buys obedience, it buys…control."
More than five million adults still rely on cash in the UK and it’s used in six billion transactions every year.
However, there are strong vested interests pressing for it to be permanently replaced by debit and credit cards and other electronic payments.
These cost ordinary Britons more in the long-run and enable third parties to track people and their spending.

PAHalligan added: "This really affects people without bank accounts, there are 10 or 15 per cent of households in the UK, they're called unbanked, they haven't got the credentials, or the wherewithal, or the ID, or the income to warrant a bank account.
"It's the little old lady with huge respect who is trying to park in her market town and she hasn't got a smart phone, you've got to download a million different apps, you need to be on WiFi.
"So lots of people particularly older people or people in a hurry, they end up getting a parking ticket. They are perfectly willing to pay but you have to do it on an app."
We are calling on the Government to introduce legislation committing to protect the status of cash as legal tender and as a widely accepted means of payment in the UK until at least 2050.
Christys said: "I don’t want to live in a society where you’re one wrong word away from being bankrupt. And I dare say you don’t either.
"But this campaign isn’t just about stopping the asphyxiating hand of totalitarian tyranny, it’s also about standing up for the rights of the marginalised."
