When people set out to lose weight, many seek a diet that promises the most dramatic results in the shortest space of time.
But even if pushing the body to extremes leads to quick changes, those extremes aren’t sustainable, which is why most dieters end up right where they started.
Savannah Wright spent years struggling to achieve her desired physique despite maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.
But after addressing a few pitfalls in her diet and exercise routine, she managed to shed over 1st over six months.

The turning point came when she identified five fundamental errors that had been sabotaging her efforts, she explained in a recent TikTok clip.
"There [were] five mistakes that I made that kept me from losing fat," she said.
"They kept me just having this mid physique, even though I was super active and was super healthy, I could not achieve the physique that I wanted."
Wright's first error involved pursuing rapid weight reduction through six-to-eight-week cutting programmes.

"I would always gain the weight back over time because I was trying to lose weight too fast," she admitted. "I was eating healthy, but I had my macros well off. I was eating high-fat foods, which have more calories per gram."
Her second mistake concerned inadequate protein consumption, which left her perpetually hungry and failed to support her muscle mass.
Wright's third pitfall was consuming excessive portions due to inadequate tracking of her food intake, contributing to the cycle of constant overeating.
Another obstacle Savannah now recognises as damaging was the inconsistency of her exercise routine. Because she would often use busyness as an excuse, her commitment began to waver.
"Your body doesn't care; if you show up once a week versus three, you have to show up so consistently," she reflected. "You need to respect it and treat it like it's a job."
Ultimately, a lack of regular attendance means physical efforts cannot yield meaningful results, she added.

Wright's fifth and final error related to her approach in the weights room. She confessed: "I was lifting - and when I did, I wasn't keeping track of my stats, and sometimes I wouldn't even lift heavy.
"I was honestly being lazy with my lifts. If you want to see fat loss, you actually need to challenge yourself at the gym."
Genuine transformation demands not just attendance, but purposeful effort and careful monitoring of performance over time.
