If you're in the process of putting your house on the market, you're likely aiming for a quick sale.
GB News spoke exclusively to property expert Liv Conlon about how Britons can speed up the process with strategic colour choices.
Liv is the founder of ThePropertyStagers, which furnishes for-sale properties all over the UK to "get you a faster sale and a higher offer".
According to the property guru, the colours displayed in your home during a viewing make a major difference. She stressed the importance of a "cohesive" aesthetic.
'In your bedrooms, make sure you're using crisp, white bedding'
GETTY IMAGES"In your bedrooms, make sure you're using crisp, white bedding - so remove anything with any sort of pattern," the expert added.
Liv explained that this is an easy way to ensure a "clean, hotel feel". It also creates a "distraction-free zone", allowing viewers to fully appreciate the space.
This doesn't have to mean sticking to neutrals, though, with the experts encouraging some "bold pops of colour".
"Just don't have anything too overwhelming throughout your home," she advised. "Don't have five pops of colour in each room, and it changes as you go from room to room.
"Try to keep the home feeling as cohesive as possible so there's nothing that would repel someone rather than attract them."
Sellers should prioritise making their home "mainstream" and "clean" before a viewing.
While you may want to showcase your home's quirky style, a blank canvas will be more appealing to prospective buyers who want to put their stamp on the place.
In a similar vein, the person viewing your home wants to be able to imagine themselves living in it, so displaying personal items is counterproductive.

GETTYSpeaking to GB News, Liv explained: "When someone comes into your home and they see photos of you on the wall, it's challenging for them to visualise photos of themselves or put their stamp of personality into it."
She therefore stressed the importance of "decluttering" and "depersonalising", naming the items to get rid of before a house viewing.
