Officials warned that some zips may contain sharp edges, posing a risk of injury.

The affected products, which retail for £12, include all sizes of the rompers up to 24 months.

Customers who have purchased the babywear were advised to stop using the product "immediately".

Instead, they should return it to their nearest Asda store for a full refund, with no receipt required.

"We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused," Asda stated. For further information, customers can contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 010.

The recall of George Baby 3PK Zip Rompers comes days after Asda pulled another George item from shelves.

A two-piece clothing set for children aged one to eight also poses a "risk of injury" due to a manufacturing issue.

The retailer specified that the issue affects all sizes of the product. However, Asda clarified that only part of the set is problematic, stating: "The top in this 2-piece set is unaffected."

Product and food recalls must always be taken seriously to ensure customer safety.

For the latest product recalls, Britons can consult the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS).

Lidl issued a critical shopper warning as snack bars may contain pieces of plastic

Lidl

Food recalls are documented by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) as well as individual supermarkets.

Lidl recently alerted shoppers to a potentially dangerous snack sold in stores. A critical shopper warning revealed that snack bars may contain plastic.

The supermarket explained that due to the "possible presence of plastic foreign bodies", the snack bars may present a "choking hazard".

Lidl told customers not to consume the affected items and instead return them to stores, where they will be given a full refund, and added that no other products are affected by the recall.
