For major improvements to your skin, there are unfortunately no immediate fixes. Indeed, for a brighter, smoother, younger-looking complexion, implementing the right skin care strategies, lifestyle habits, and diet choices is essential.
But for a quick fix, harnessing the power of makeup can provide almost instantaneous results.
GB News spoke exclusively to Yvette Wyeth, a beauty and skin care expert with over 25 years in the business, about how women can improve their skin "fast" and "at any age".
Yvette, who trained as an esthetician and later founded Activeskin, admitted that when it comes to achieving an enviable complexion, there is no cheat code.
'A tinted moisturiser or CC cream instantly blurs minor imperfections and gives you a subtle glow'
GETTY IMAGESShe stated: "The best way to improve your skin takes a collective effort, but reaps rewards. From selecting more specific active ingredients in your skin care products to ensuring adequate quality sleep each night, small daily adjustments help to keep the skin looking youthful and vibrant."
Strategic makeup application can provide a swift solution while you're doing the work, though - even if it's only temporary.
Yvette stated: "A tinted moisturiser or CC cream instantly blurs minor imperfections and gives you a subtle glow.
"It's a quick and easy everyday coverage that can sit under your foundation or be worn alone."
But she provided a word of warning to those thinking of buying the product. When it comes to tinted moisturiser, the aim is seamlessness.
"Be sure to choose a tint that blends effortlessly with your natural skin tone," the beauty guru advised.
Tinted moisturiser, as described by the cosmetics experts at L'Oréal Paris, is a "facial moisturiser that also has a slight skin tint with makeup pigments (like a foundation or a BB cream)". This means "you get the benefits of both makeup and moisturiser in just one product".
The skin care and makeup hybrid provides a little coverage, although its "primary role" is to hydrate the skin.
A CC cream is a type of tinted moisturiser "typically used to help neutralise the appearance of discolourations or improve the look of uneven skin".
Moisturiser is essential for both short and long-term skin success. The experts at CeraVe define it as a "cornerstone skin care product" that boasts "anti-ageing functions".

"While its hydrating function is obvious, moisturisers can also brighten skin tone, refine texture and reduce the appearance of ageing signs like fine lines and wrinkles," the skin gurus added.
Yvette also spoke exclusively to GB News about the practices women can implement for long-term gain, claiming a quick facial hack will bring their skin back to life.
