Thinning hair is common in older people but it can affect anyone.

Hair experts have shared tips to keep hair looking its best over the year.


Thick and shiny hair can give people a more youthful appearance. Wellness expert and owner of supplements brand Miracle Leaf Agnieszka Kozlowska shared some of the things anyone can do for healthier-looking hair.

One of the best ways to avoid thinning locks is with regular haircuts.

Agnieszka said: “Schedule regular trims every six to eight weeks to remove split ends and prevent them from travelling up the hair shaft.

"If left alone, this can cause breakage and make your hair look thin and unhealthy.”

What you eat and drink can greatly affect how to hair looks. Drinking plenty of water can make hair glow from within.

The expert added: “Hydration is vital for maintaining hair elasticity, preventing breakage, and fostering a healthy scalp.

"Aim for around eight glasses a day to keep your body and your mane hydrated.

"For your hair, regular cleansing and deep conditioning are key.” Food is important, too.

Eating healthy, vitamin-rich meals can work wonders for how healthy the hair looks.

Agnieszka continued: “Nourish your hair from the inside out.

"Eat a balanced diet rich in proteins, vitamins (especially A, C, and E), and minerals like iron and zinc.

"These vitamins and minerals support hair growth, strength, and repair.”

Both men and women can suffer from lacklustre hair. The "best" haircut for men with a receding hairline was shared.

Experts said the "low-maintenance" look can make men look "incredibly handsome".
