Spain has beautiful beaches, hot weather and low prices, making it the go-to summer holiday spot for many Britons.
Parts of Spain are also perfect for a last-minute half-term getaway, according to new data by Omio.
It showed Malaga was the most searched for destination by UK holidaymakers planning a trip at this time. This was followed by Lisbon and Madrid, showing a keen interest in quick trips to sunny parts of Europe.
Searches to Malaga have shot up 92 per cent year-on-year, and it is no surprise, with temperatures feeling as high as 20°C in February.

The experts said: "With mild spring temperatures hovering around 20°C, Malaga is a brilliant half-term choice for sun without the summer crowds.

"Spend your days wandering the old town, visiting the Alcazaba fortress, or enjoying long lunches by the sea at La Malagueta beach."
If it is Spain you are looking for, Madrid and Barcelona were also recommended. However, Lisbon was the second most searched for half-term holiday spot overall.
The experts added: "With average temperatures around 18°C to 20°C, Lisbon is ideal for a spring city break. Spring sunshine makes it perfect for exploring Alfama’s historic streets, riding the iconic trams, and enjoying riverfront dining along the Tagus."
Or you can visit Paris, France. Described as "a classic for a reason", holidaymakers can "stroll along the Seine, picnic in the Jardin du Luxembourg, and explore neighbourhoods like Le Marais and Montmartre".

Paris ranked highly for a quick getaway

The Omio travel pros said: "Milan offers a great spring escape, with temperatures averaging 17°C to 20°C and fewer tourists than peak summer. It is the perfect time to explore the Duomo, browse fashion districts, and enjoy an aperitivo in Navigli."
