The Prince of Wales received a private tour of At-Turaif during the first day of his tour of Saudi Arabia.
William was met by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the entrance of the World Heritage Site.
At-Tuaif is an example of Najdi architecture that thrived in the 18th century.
The site is considered to be one of the largest integrated mud-brick cities in the world.

It is home to the At-Turaif Mosque, the largest in the district when constructed by Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad bin Saud in 1765.
At-Turaif is seen as a cornerstone of Diriyah’s broader transformation into a global destination and is also home to the Salwa Palace, which served as the seat of rule and administration during the First Saudi State.
The private tour for the Prince of Wales was led by the Crown Prince, which was the first time William had met the Crown Prince since his visit to London in 2018.
Earlier in the day, William touched down at King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia, where Riyadh's Deputy Governor has extended an official greeting.
Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz received the heir to the British throne at the airport's Royal Terminal.
The Deputy Governor hosted the Prince of Wales, offering traditional coffee and dates upon his arrival at the prestigious terminal facility.
