Nestlé is welcoming a new addition to the Rowntree’s Randoms family and Britons can expect 'zesty fruit flavours'

Some Britons were disappointed to hear that Nestlé is getting rid of two iconic chocolate bars.

However, confectionary fans need not worry too much, as the food company has announced it will be launching a new treat.

Nestlé UK & Ireland said: "New for 2024, Nestlé Confectionery is welcoming a fresh addition to the Rowntree’s Randoms family: Fizzy Cactuz.

"The sharing bag of mouth-watering Fizzy Cactuz sweets comes in zesty fruit flavours including raspberry, kiwi, passionfruit, and lime.

"The gummy sweets also keep Randoms fans on their toes as they come in two fun textures, with some cacti being deliciously gummy, and others with a juicy fruit filling that burst with each bite."

And fizzy sweet fans won't have to wait long to get their hands on these. Starting from this week, you can find Randoms Fizzy Cactuz on the shelves of Asda and Morrisons.

There will be a nationwide rollout in supermarkets and convenience stores soon after.

Fizzy Cactuz will join the growing Randoms range, currently made up of the original Randoms and Randoms Juicers.

Randoms were born in 2009, bringing "fruity randomness" to the Rowntree’s family.

Senior Brand Manager for Rowntree's Hayley Nixon commented on the new launch of Fizzy Cactuz.

She said: "We are thrilled to introduce Randoms Fizzy Cactuz to our fans. Fizzy Cactuz represents our dedication to creating joyful and unexpected experiences.

"With each sweet’s unique taste and texture, we believe fans will love the randomness from the very first bite."

This new launch comes as Nestlé UK decided to say goodbye to Breakaway and Yorkie Biscuit bars.

Breakaway bars will still be available throughout February and March at Sainsbury's while stocks last.

A Nestlé spokesperson explained that they had "seen a decline in the sales of Breakaway over the past few years and, unfortunately, had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it".

"By saying goodbye to Breakaway, we can focus on our best-performing brands, as well as develop exciting new innovations to delight consumers’ tastebuds."

For those looking to tuck into something exciting to eat, Aldi has brought back a £1 snack and shoppers are over the moon.
