Food recall: Crisps pulled from shelves over undeclared allergen posing health risk - 'Do not eat!'

A batch of crisps has been recalled over fears that the item could pose a health risk after its packaging failed to declare a common allergen.
The product was pulled from shelves because it contains milk or its constituents, which goes unmentioned on its label.
Only one batch of Jack's Mature Cheddar and Red Onion Crisps 120g packs has been impacted, with customers being invited to return the item to stores for a full refund.
The impacted product has a best before date of January 17 2026. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to customers.

Issuing a statement, the Food Standards Agency warned: “Booker is recalling Jack’s Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Hand Cooked Crisps because it contains milk which is not mentioned on the label.
“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.”
They further advised: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents do not eat it.
“Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

Earlier this week, One Stop pulled its Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Hand Cooked Crisps from shelves after discovering undeclared milk in the product as well.
Three batches of the 150g bags have been identified as potentially dangerous, with shoppers urged to check for three best-before dates: February 17, 2026; February 18, 2026; and February 23, 2026.
Officials warned Britons: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it.”
