More than 70 Bella Italia restaurants will take part in a pasta donation drive

Pasta lovers across Britain can tuck into a free meal next week while helping families in need, thanks to Bella Italia.

On October 15, Britons can donate an unopened packet of dried pasta to a participating restaurant.

In exchange, pasta fans will receive a complimentary dish worth around £15.

The donated pasta packets will be passed on to food banks in local communities to help stock their shelves.

"Pasta has always been the hero of Bella Italia's menu, with guests returning time and again for its rich beef ragù, creamy carbonara, spicy arrabbiata, and oven-baked lasagne," the restaurant stated.

"By linking its best-loved dishes with an act of giving, Bella Italia is showing how food has the power to unite people, spark joy, and make a tangible difference in the wider community."

Luckily, getting your hands on the free pasta (and supporting a good cause) couldn't be simpler.

The restaurant isn't being picky about pasta choice – whether it's spaghetti, penne, or fusilli, they can all be handed in.

However, there are a few key things to remember during your visit to the beloved chain.

To participate, guests will need to buy at least one item from the menu, and tables of up to six people can take part.

The free dish applies to the least expensive pasta main if you're ordering multiple meals.

Available exclusively for restaurant guests, the offer is not available for takeaway, delivery, or click-and-collect.

The restaurant chain wants to show that food can do more than just fill stomachs – it can unite communities and spread a bit of joy where it's needed most.

"It's a simple gesture that turns one comforting plate of pasta into many more," the chain concluded.

The news comes as pasta enthusiasts across the globe prepare to celebrate World Pasta Day on October 25.
