Asda will become the first UK supermarket to offer Scottish-grown Golden Raspberries, with the rare summer fruit arriving in selected stores this weekend.
The limited edition berries come from Bruce Farms in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, marking a first for Scottish growers.
The berries, described by Asda as "rare" and "unique", are distinguished by their "delicate" texture and "distinctive" yellow colour, which sets them apart from conventional red raspberries.
The fruit is said to deliver all the flavour of traditional varieties whilst offering something extra for adventurous shoppers.
Asda has secured exclusive access to these special release punnets, making it the first supermarket in the country to stock this rare variety.
The golden berries represent a unique addition to Asda's soft fruit selection, offering customers an alternative to standard raspberry options this weekend.
The golden raspberries will be positioned alongside traditional red varieties in stores across the UK.
However, unlike traditional varieties, the "premium" golden fruit will only be available while stocks last.

The exclusive partnership between Asda, Bruce Farm, and supplier Scotty Brand has made this first-to-market release possible.
Stevie McLaughlin, head chef at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles, has praised the berries for their "delicate tartness" and "hint of Scottish earthiness".
The chef's recognition of their Scottish terroir underscores the significance of this homegrown innovation.
For those keen to sample the new fruit, Stevie shared that the berries are "perfect for a fine dining summer dessert, or equally in a simple fruit salad at home".

The release marks a milestone for Scottish berry cultivation, with Bruce Farms in Perthshire successfully growing a variety previously unseen in UK supermarkets.
The limited availability adds to the exclusivity of this weekend's special release.
Geoff Bruce, director at Bruce Farms, said: "The golden raspberries have been a real passion project for us, and it's exciting to be at the forefront of introducing something new to the Scottish soft fruit sector.
"As growers, we're always looking at ways to innovate and explore different varieties that not only thrive in our climate but also offer a unique selling point for customers."
"Our product development team sourced the rare all-gold raspberries, and we are pleased to let consumers try them for the first time; however, they will need to be quick, as the crop is limited.
"It's been incredibly rewarding to see them being grown successfully here in Perthshire’s rich farmland and building on our family’s 125-year legacy of farming and commitment to quality."
Asda Scotland Local Buying Manager, Ashley Connolly, added: "It's exciting that Asda customers will be the first to be able to buy these limited-edition Golden Raspberries.
"Our partnership with Scotty Brand has continued to go from strength to strength, and bringing this new product innovation to life is a credit to both the farm and the supplier.
"Getting the product into Asda stores this quickly also highlights our ongoing commitment to supporting local growers as well as offering customers something new, fresh, seasonal and unique."
This exciting news from Bruce Farm and Asda is the latest in a series of victories for fruit growers this year.
Just last week, Tesco announced that UK-grown cherries are "bigger, sweeter, and juicier".
Strawberries also saw a substantial improvement, becoming bigger and better than ever due to "perfect" weather conditions.
