Shoppers are excited to get their hands on the fruity sweet treat in store

Fans have just stumbled across a new addition to Aldi's broad range of sweet treats in store, with one item in particular catching shoppers' attention.

Refreshing their items for the summer months, the supermarket has released Passion Fruit Curd Buns, much to their fans' delight.

The fruity buns come in packs of two and would serve a duo well as a tea-time treat.

Sharing the good news, one eagle-eyed shopper shared a picture of their sugary find on Facebook and was quick to receive a fleet of excited responses.

One said that the buns sounded "yummy", while another said they looked "delicious". A third chimed in, saying, "how amazing do these sound?".

A fourth simply exclaimed: "I need to try them!" Meanwhile, one user compared the item to a chocolate-themed equivalent in stores.

They said: "The chocolate ones like these are very nice. Lots of chocolate sauce in the middle." One chocolate lover even suggested that the non-fruity buns were the "nicer" of the two.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

The passion fruit treats will be joined with the store's new Village Bakery Cake Pops, which will be available in stores across the UK from today.

The bite-sized treats will cost just £1.99 for a pack of four, working out at just 50p per cake pop. And sweet-toothed shoppers will be thrilled to find out that they can try out two different flavours.

The Birthday Cake variety features a sweet strawberry and vanilla combination. Meanwhile, the Cookies and Cream option comprises delicious cookie crumb sprinkles and a sweet vanilla flavouring.

ALDI

If shoppers are more inclined to something a bit colder as Britain basks in the summer heat, Aldi also has a new range of cocktail-infused ice cream sorbets, priced at just 75p per pot.

The Gianni's Cocktail Mini Pots come in a pack of four for £2.99 and feature popular cocktail flavours including Passionfruit Martini, Gin & Tonic, Mojito and Strawberry Liqueur.

Each tempting pot boasts a real spirit kick, offering shoppers an alcoholic twist on traditional ice cream treats. Aldi fans can snap up the treats from nationwide stores now.
