Britons just can't get enough of Dubai chocolate

Dubai chocolate is without a doubt the snack of the moment, with Britons often paying extortionate prices for the milk chocolate, kadayif, and pistachio creation.

UK supermarkets have jumped on the food craze due to soaring demand, with Morrisons, M&S, and Iceland all presenting their takes on the treat.

As the Dubai chocolate obsession continues, some retailers have even been forced to impose strict limits on how many bars shoppers can buy so that everyone has a chance to sample it.

The latest addition to the trend is Aldi's take on the viral chocolate bar, landing in stores on June 12.

The "highly sought-after" Dubai Chocolate Style bar contains layers of pistachio cream and crunchy kadayif pastry wrapped in milk chocolate.

According to Aldi, the "luxury treat offers a blend of creamy sweetness, nutty richness, and delicate crunch".

Priced at £3.99 for a 100g bar, Dubai Chocolate Style is "one of the cheapest" options on the market, meaning "shoppers can experience this viral sensation without the hefty price tag".

The sub-£4 price point positions the product significantly below many competitors selling similar Dubai-inspired chocolate bars, which have commanded premium prices since the trend emerged.

Aldi launched the treat as a response to the nation "not yet growing tired" of the recent "pistachio obsession".

As a result, the discount supermarket will be "painting the town green" from June 12.

Just in time for Father's Day, the popular confectionery could make a great gift for dads, grandads, and father figures - if you haven't already scooped up Aldi's dedicated range featuring a "best-seller" gadget.

Aldi's version arrives as part of its Specialbuys range, the retailer's limited-time product offerings.

Specialbuys are the "unique" products found in Aldi's middle aisle at "unbelievable" prices.

Landing in stores every Thursday and Sunday, the selection aims to provide something for every interest: food, DIY, cooking, gardening, sports, camping, and "everything in between".

Aldi warned customers that while there will be no limit on how many bars customers can purchase, availability will be restricted.

"Shoppers better be quick," the supermarket cautioned, "as with all Aldi Specialbuys, once they're gone, they're gone."

The launch follows widespread shortages of Dubai-style chocolate across UK retailers, with many shops struggling to keep the trendy confection in stock.

But it's not the first time Aldi has dipped its toe into the Dubai chocolate pool.

Dubai Chocolate Style Ice Cream was previously introduced at Aldi, although it sparked mixed reviews from shoppers.

While Aldi described the £3.99 dessert as a "pistachio lover's cream come true", not all shoppers were impressed.

Indeed, one said on social media: "Honestly, I don't know the obsession with Dubai chocolate, people hop on trends so fast." Another shared a similar sentiment: "It's so overrated now."

In other Aldi news, the supermarket recently launched three "crowd-pleaser" drinks that promise "bliss" in a bottle.
