Bursting with bright apple notes and zesty citrus flavours, the tipple is sure to be a treat at just £12.99 a pop

Ahead of a brand-new premium wine hitting the shelves later this month, Aldi has imposed a strict limit on the exclusive beverage to ensure many feverish fans can give it a taste.

The supermarket has unveiled Britain's most affordable Pét-Nat sparkling wine, priced at just £12.99 per bottle. The Bowler & Brolly x London Cru Pétillant Naturel arrives in stores on June 26 - perfectly timed for English Wine Week celebrations.

This exclusive collaboration with London Cru, the capital's first urban winery, represents a thrilling milestone for accessible premium English wine.

The boutique-style sparkling wine teases British consumers with an opportunity to experience high-quality domestic winemaking without the traditionally steep price tag.

The partnership ties together Aldi's retail expertise along with London Cru's established reputation for supplying prestigious venues, including Raffles and The Dorchester Collection.

Additionally, the sparkling wine showcases grapes sourced entirely from English vineyards across Oxfordshire, Hampshire and West Sussex, combining Reichensteiner, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Bacchus varieties.

Delivering bright apple notes and zesty citrus flavours, the flavours are beautifully complemented by fine bubbles and a bone-dry profile.

Additionally, its unfiltered and unfined production method preserves natural characteristics, resulting in a slightly cloudy appearance that adds complexity.

This centuries-old technique allows for minimal processing, keeping the lees in the bottle to enhance flavour and texture, granting winemakers a creative freedom beyond traditional English sparkling wine regulations.

Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK Julie Ashfield said: "We're thrilled to bring Bowler & Brolly x London Cru Pétillant Naturel to our shelves for English Wine Week.

"This exclusive sparkling wine showcases the very best of English winemaking premium quality, innovation, and incredible value."

One of London Cru's winemakers Alex Hurley added: "The Bowler and Brolly x London Cru Pét-Nat has been an incredibly exciting project for us, one where we've truly enjoyed bringing a value-driven English sparkling across UK and Ireland.

"Collaborating with Aldi gives us the chance to share our boutique London-made craft wines with a broader audience while staying true to our playful character. This unfiltered, unfined Pét-Nat is a celebration of English grapes and made with summer sipping firmly in mind."

The wine will be available exclusively in Aldi stores from June 26, but fans are urged to be quick, with purchases limited to just one bottle per customer.

The new drink will be hot on the heels of Aldi's latest success, with its £14.95 bottle of champagne grabbing the top prize at the World Champagne Awards 2025, "triumphing" over luxury competitors.
