The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has announced recalls affecting four items sold through Amazon, warning consumers of "serious" fire and choking dangers.
Three electrical products have been flagged for presenting significant fire risks due to wiring defects and plugs that fail to meet British safety standards.
A fourth product, baby dummy clips, has been identified as a choking hazard for young children. Local Authority Trading Standards notified the regulator about the unsafe goods, prompting immediate action.
All four products were manufactured in China and have since been blocked from entering the UK market.

The MIWAT LED Flood Light poses a serious fire threat because its internal and external wiring is unsuitable for outdoor conditions, despite being designed for exterior use.
According to the OPSS, exposed live wires could develop over time, potentially causing the product to ignite.
A US to UK travel adaptor featuring dual USB-C ports has also been recalled after inspectors found its plug fails to conform to BS 1363 dimensional standards. A non-compliant fuse could result in overheating or explosion.
The third electrical item, an LED table lamp, presents similar dangers due to inadequate plug dimensions and insufficient spacing between internal circuits.

The baby dummy clips, sold in a four-pack featuring animal designs including a koala, dog, penguin and duck, present a serious choking risk to infants.
Small components can break away or become detached during normal use, creating pieces small enough to be swallowed.
Children under 36 months face particular danger from these items, as toddlers naturally tend to explore objects by putting them in their mouths.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
The OPSS stated the product "presents a serious risk of choking as it includes small parts that can detach or break off during reasonably foreseeable use".
The clips breach the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Border officials intercepted all four products before they could reach consumers, rejecting the imports upon arrival in the UK.
Amazon has removed the listings for the flood light, table lamp and dummy clips from its marketplace.
The three electrical items failed to comply with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, whilst the travel adaptor and table lamp additionally breached the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
