Point-of-sale notices have been displayed in stores to warn customers about the recall and explain the returns process.

The affected Tesco items included Coarse Farmhouse Pate, Coarse Ardennes Pate, and Smooth Chicken Liver Pate, all in 170g packaging marked with a January 5, 2025, use-by date.
The FSA warned that the mislabelled dates meant the products may have spoiled earlier than expected, potentially allowing harmful bacteria to develop.
Tesco advised customers not to consume these items and offered full refunds at any of its stores.
