Tottenham are holding crunch talks over Igor Tudor's position in N17, with chief executive Vinai Venkatesham making his way to the club's training facility.
An internal review was launched following Tuesday evening's catastrophic Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid.
Interim manager, Igor Tudor, and his coaching team had returned to Spurs' Lodge during the early hours after their journey back from the Spanish capital.
Conversations between Venkatesham, who arrived approximately 8.45am this morning, and the coaching staff are understood to be holding ongoing crunch talks at the training complex.

The club confirmed that Tudor will hold the pre-match press conference on Friday at 1.30pm ahead of the Liverpool fixture.
The interim boss has faced fierce criticism over his handling of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky during the Madrid defeat.
Tudor removed the 22-year-old shot-stopper from the pitch after just 17 minutes, a decision that left the young keeper visibly distressed.

The way the situation was handled has been widely described as humiliating for the young player.
The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust has demanded "emergency action" to be taken, writing in a statement: "Tonight’s performance and result is a total disgrace. It’s symptomatic of the abysmal state of things at Spurs right now.
"From the January transfer window to the management appointments, the lack of leadership and the total absence of anyone with a Spurs pedigree informing these decisions. Where is the Daring to Do? Where are the Echoes of Glory?"

They added: "Emergency action is needed as right now we are sleepwalking off the edge of a cliff. Being a Spurs fan has never been so difficult but supporters will not sit by and watch the club continue to decline.
"At the very least those in Madrid should have their match tickets refunded. But all we really care about is that the club make us proud. We are here to support the team and be the 12th man. But we all deserve so much more."
Tudor became the first head coach to suffer defeat in each of his opening four matches in charge, with Tottenham enduring six consecutive defeats for the first time in the club's existence.
Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino have emerged as candidates to assume the managerial role in the summer months.

Recent discussions are understood to have occurred with De Zerbi, who became available following his departure from Marseille and could potentially be appointed sooner than originally planned.
However, the 46-year-old Italian is also weighing up the Manchester United position as he contemplates his next move.
Sean Dyche, formerly of Nottingham Forest and Everton, has seen his odds shorten to 2/1 with certain bookmakers.
Tudor, who has been at the helm for just 25 days, declined to address questions regarding his position when speaking after the match.
