Stephen Dixon has assured fans he's at home and safe after finding himself stranded on the M1 in the early hours of this morning.
The Breakfast presenter was unable to join co-star Anne Diamond as the clock struck 6am on Sunday after being stuck for over two hours in standstill traffic.
In a video shared on X this morning, Stephen explained all: "Morning all. I’m sorry I’m not with you this morning. I’ve been stuck on the M1 now for two hours.
"Cars all turned off, everything, which is why it’s legal to do this, actually, because everything is turned off and parked off.

"But there’s been a very nasty accident here. I mean, when they close the motorway for two hours, you know it’s something serious.
"So as irritating and frustrating as it is, we just need to think of all those involved in this and indeed those first responders, because I dread to think what they’re having to deal with a little bit further down the motorway. Not a nice day for anybody.
"So thinking of them, as I say, when the traffic eventually moves, whenever that may be, I think it’s just going to be time to head home, to be honest," the GB News star said with a chuckle.
"But never mind. Anyway, just to let you know what’s going on, and hopefully we’ll get someone in to cover to sort of sit in so Anne isn’t on her own for too long. All right, bye for now."

By Sunday afternoon, Stephen had made it home and took to Instagram to reveal that the ordeal had left him feeling rather grateful for the things many may take for granted.
"I am so thankful for the simple pleasures of life. Love, comfort, family," Stephen said alongside a snap of himself cradling one of his beloved pet dogs.
Inevitably, fans rushed to show their support for the People's Channel star, with many expressing their delight that he made it home safely after missing Breakfast.
"Missed you this morning Stephen, but very pleased you are at home safely," one followed wrote, while a second echoed alongside a love-heart emoji: "Missed you on GBN today."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
The crash in question was first reported at around 5:17am, according to AA Maps, and involved three vehicles heading southbound.
As a result, the motorway was closed between junction six at Mount Pleasant Lane, North Watford/Bricket Wood, and junction five at Watford.
Ever the professional, Anne didn't let Stephen's unexpected absence derail Sunday's Breakfast, as she took over the show solo.
After introducing the day's biggest headlines, she even addressed Stephen's no-show. "If you're wondering where Stephen is, I'm wondering too, actually!" she joked.

"So he's taking a while to get in, but we're missing you already, Stephen!"
When it soon became clear Stephen would be unable to make it in for Breakfast, fellow GB News fan-favourite Mark White stepped up to the plate.
"You thought you were going to have a lovely, lazy day in bed, didn't you?" Anne joked as Mark took his seat at the 6:40am mark.

Mark laughed off the early start by describing himself as a "super sub" before revealing he'd only had a few hours' sleep after joining Bev Turner on The Late Show in the early hours of the morning.
There was plenty for Anne and Mark to get through, discussing the latest sports headlines with Aidan Magee, and discussing all things President Trump, Andy Burnham, and Burns Night with a wide range of guests.
