Mr King found himself in Sunday's dance-off, meaning he and Ms Przystal had to perform their Thunderbirds Paso Doble for a second time to save their place in the competition along with EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal and her partner Julian Caillon.

Judges Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke unanimously voted to save the latter pair.

On his exit, Mr King became emotional as he stated: "I have loved every single minute of it. I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us, all the people who voted – they’ve been amazing.

"I want to thank everyone here in this room, backstage, the judges, the crew – every single person here has made me so, so welcome."

He went on to pay a sweet tribute to his dance partner Ms Przystal, labelling her a "special lady".
