Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin has revealed he hopes to wed his girlfriend Lauren Jaine within the next couple of years.
The 28-year-old Ukrainian-born dancer, who has been in a relationship with the 23-year-old model for nearly three years, opened up about his romantic aspirations in a recent interview.
"In a couple of years, I'd love to marry Lauren. It's just a gorgeous moment. I'm a very romantic person, and feel really lucky to have found her," Mr Kuzmin told Heat magazine.
The revelation comes after the BBC star was forced to dismiss engagement speculation earlier this month when his girlfriend was photographed wearing a ring.

| BBCHowever, the couple face some negotiations over their nuptials, with Mr Kuzmin preferring an intimate affair while Ms Jaine has her heart set on a grand celebration.
"Lauren would love a huge wedding, but I'd want a private one."
He continued: "We'll definitely have to come to an agreement, because I don't have the money for 1,000 people!"
When it comes to his wedding party, the dancer said he would be keen to have his fellow Strictly professionals stand beside him as groomsmen.

|"Yes, it'd be really cool. But I'd love my dad to be my best man.
"My parents sacrificed everything for me, he deserves that role," Mr Kuzmin explained.
Looking ahead to family life, he expressed his hopes of becoming a father to more than one child.
"Hopefully, one day, we'll be lucky enough to have more than one kid. I think that's the reason we're put on Earth, to grow them into whoever they want to be," he shared.

In October 2025, he explained that he always telephones his mother on his journey home and then has his partner waiting for him when he arrives, ensuring they always make time for one another despite his demanding schedule.
The dancer is now preparing to hit the road with his Burn The Floor: Supernova tour, which kicks off in June.
Mr Kuzmin said: "I'll be showing off my personality and interacting with the audience a lot; every show is going to be different. It's exciting. I'm living my dream."
The tour follows a busy period for the professional, who finished as runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2025 alongside celebrity partner Amber Davies.
The dancing duo sparked widespread speculation of a so-called “Strictly curse” romance due to their close bond and on-screen chemistry, particularly after being photographed sharing a tender moment following a lengthy rehearsal.
Their performances, including a “steamy” Argentine Tango, further fuelled discussion among viewers.
However, both Mr Kuzmin and Ms Davies consistently denied any romantic involvement, insisting their relationship was strictly professional.

|Ms Davies, who is in a long-term relationship with West End actor Mr Joyce, also dismissed the rumours, noting her partner was unfazed, while revealing she had formed a close friendship with Mr Kuzmin’s girlfriend.
He also completed a 30-date arena tour with his 2023 dance partner Layton Williams.
Mr Kuzmin joked that he is looking forward to enjoying some normality at home before returning to the stage.
